The Bomber Hybrid is a combination of a mechanical hackamore and American Gag, giving it the combined effects of the hackamore and the bit. Bomber recommends that this sophisticated combination bit is suitable for experienced riders to use on strong, sensitive mouthed horses. It distributes pressure uniformly on the nose, mouth, and the poll, while the adjustable settings offered for rein attachments will vary pressure on the nose, tongue, and curb. The amount of movement in the mouthpiece can be altered by moving the attached stopper above the mouthpiece. As the stopper is set further down, the purchase grows, increasing mouthpiece leverage and poll pressure,as well as back trap and nose band pressure. The nose piece is padded for the horse's comfort and a nylon curb strap is included. Care must be taken, as with any mechanical hackamore, that the noseband sits above the nasal bone.
