Nikwax Rug Proof (1L)
High performance waterproofer designed to revitalize insulation and breathability for all horse blankets and pet beds. Easy to use in a washing machine, non flammable and PFAS-free.
For waterproofing horse blankets.- Easy to use wash-in waterproofing for all waterproof horse blankets
- Adds water repellency and revives breathability
- Enhances the performance of horse blankets, keeping your animal warmer and drier
- Recommended for Rambo® and all other animal blankets and jackets
For washing machines...
IMPORTANT: Shake bottle before use. Conventional detergent can damage water-repellency. Always clean blanket first with Nikwax Rug Wash in a separate wash cycle.
Industrial, laundromat size machine:
- Remove all detergent build-up from the detergent dispenser.
- Place maximum of 1 blanket in washing machine.
- Add 17fl oz/500ml of Rug Proof.
- Select a normal cycle using warm/cold water, slow spin and extra rinse if possible.
Hand Wash (use gloves):
- Add 17fl oz/500ml of Rug Proof in 2.5gal/10L of warm water in laundry tub or sink.
- Agitate to mix, add and immerse entire blanket.
- Add additional 4gal/15L of warm water to cover blanket and agitate.
- Leave to soak for 2 hours, agitating occasionally.
- Rinse in cold water until water runs clear.
Sponge Application (use gloves):
- Spread clean blanket on clean area and wet thoroughly.
- For 1 blanket, mix 17fl oz/500ml with 0.5gal/1.5L of warm water.
- Use new sponge to apply solution to blanket, working into fabric and seams.
- Leave for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse in cold water until water runs clear.
Dry according to garment instructions.
To maintain waterproofing always wash with Nikwax Rug Wash. Do not use conventional deter-gents. Refer to Nikwax commercial leaflet for commercial washing.
